Frog Systems has today accredited as a Living Wage Employer. Our Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at Frog Systems receive a minimum hourly wage of £9.50 in the UK or £10.85 in London. Both rates are significantly higher than the government minimum for over 25s, which currently stands at £8.72 per hour.
The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum.
Since 2011 the Living Wage movement has delivered a pay rise to over 250,000 people and put over £1.3 billion extra into the pockets of low paid workers.
Phil Worms, CEO stated: “We simply believe that this is the right thing to do. This recognises our commitment to ensuring that anyone who works with us is paid a fair wage which reflects the cost of living. The past year has been one of the most challenging times in living history and Covid19 continues to significantly impact our lives. We believe joining the Living Wage movement is one of the key ways that businesses can help our economic recovery and create the caring and compassionate society we all want see.”
Lynn Anderson, Manager, Living Wage Scotland said: “We are delighted to welcome Frog Systems to our movement of over 1900 Scottish employers who together want to go further than the government minimum to make sure that everyone can earn a decent standard of living and families have what they need to thrive.”
“Our network includes lots of smaller employers as well as larger and iconic Scottish employers like SSE, Standard Life Aberdeen, Barrs, Brewdog, D.C. Thomson and many more. Employers like Frog Systems are helping to set the standard for business in Britain by making sure that workers have what they need to get by and we hope to see many more employers following their example.”
